It was a beautiful little island with a straw market and lots of lounge chairs on the beach. The ship anchored offshore and smaller boats ferried us to the island. The ship brought lunch over for us and we had a delicious buffet on the island. There were lots of fun things to do and plenty of boats to ferry you back to the ship when you grew weary.
The ship docked and there were plenty of taxis or vans to take you where you wanted to go. Shopping and the Atlantis were the highlights. There were plenty of stores to browse in the two blocks right next to the dock within walking distance. The locals in the shops were very nice and friendly! A shared van cost $4 to take me to the Atlantis hotel and casino. The Atlantis reminded me of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. It had some beautiful glass sculptures! I did not venture to any other places other than the two block wide shopping district and the Atlantis. My dinner companions took a private car tour of the island that they thought was wonderful with a wonderful guide.
