A short taxi ride, (15 Euros) took us to the Ramblas. We walked right through to the top, stopping at the market on the way. Another taxi took us to the magnificent cathedral built by Gaudi....and still not finished.... What a magnificent building, definitely not to be missed. The driver took us back to the ship, and said 21 euros. We handed 30 and he said , make it 20 as I have no change!!! (Would this happen in the UK?) We gave him 25 Euros and he started to argue that he only wanted 20!
The free shuttle bus that took us into town ran frequently. The town is very pretty, and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the little family run shops, and helped the local economy by buying some hand made cakes!!!!! :)
