Lovely town and easy to walk to. We walked off the boat and just strolled the town to see the shops. We then rented chairs on the lovely boardwalk beach and just relaxed. Great little restaurants are there for meals with tasty food that is different than what you get on the boat. Don't miss the Yoda Guy if you are a Star Wars fan. Loved this port and would go back there again.
If you want to buy jewelry then this is the place for you...if not there is not much to see. Beware the guys on the street who offer Island tours and take you to "St Thomas's best beach....Sapphire Beach". It is far from the best beach. They take you to a seedy resort where you pay $7 for a beach chair among a debris filled beach at a run down resort with no restaurant and minimal bathroom facilites. We waited online for 25 minutes just to use facilities. They took us for a photo stop of Magen's beach and even said it was one of the most beautiful beaches in the world but the payola stop was not there. Do not be fooled. Go to Magens Beach.
