Bangkok is amazing and smelly and crowded. We did an overnight with an independent operator. It's 100 degrees and sunny - and there is lots of walking and stairs.
Ho Chi Minh was a great surprise. We were here for the kick off of the Chinese New Year (TET) which was great. We booked independently with the Intercontinental which was a treat. Five stars all the way. We had dinner at Xu Lounge which was a 5/5.
We were on a tourist boat with a small group we booked independently. The experience was overwhelming. Beautiful cruise but horrible food but we had to eat it as it was cooked by the person who lived on the ship.
We did the 5 hour ship tour which was interesting and took us to Victoria Peak and some other stops along the way. Crowded and lots of waiting around but interesting.
