Quite a pleasant island tour. Very little sign of poverty and generally seems like a nice, relatively underdeveloped place. One end of the island is comparatively "upmarket", the rest is not.
Fairly good shopping in the main area but know your prices!
Easily the best island we visited. Very clean, safe and scenically beautiful.
Good shopping but keep in mind that this is a retreat favoured by the super wealthy and many goods and services are priced accordingly. Think "South of France", if you like Cannes you'll probably like St Barth's.
Big plus: we were told that no huge cruise ships are allowed to visit, what a pleasant relief!
