Carnival bussed us up to the main crater site, gave us time there, and then drove us down the road to see older craters etal. Our tour guide was excellent and while cold, we had the clothes for this type of tour. Could not have been better.
We split up here with my wife taking the Kayaking and me the tour of a park and then a coffee plantation. Both were very good and from the report on the water, she had a great time.
The Luau was very good and just what we wanted. However, it was overbooked at the Hotel that put it on leading to crowding and difficult access. The food was good and the show excellent but lines lead to irritation among the guests. Smaller attendance would have giving this a better rating.
We were let down by this but not by Carnival. The weather was too rough and almost impossible to see anything due to the high seas. The tour should have been cancelled in advance. We had originally purchased a tour to the Poly Center but it was cancelled since we were on Sunday and the center was not open. Carnival advance staff should have known this.
