We were supposed to arrive at 1:00 but, because of weather, we didn't arrive until 2:00. Docking took forever and even though we were in the first group to go ashore we didn't get onto the island until 3:00. All the sights close at 5:00 and the shops at 6:00, even with cruise ships in port. It left little time to see or do anything. If you want to see this island, take a cruise that docks there before noon.
We didn't take any of the ship excursions but if you just want to see the island, as soon as you get off the boat there is a 2-2 1/2 hour bus tour for $20. We went completely around the island stopping at an Aloe factory. Driver/guide was very knowledgeable. Well worth the money. Rest of day shopping. Most stuff either overpriced or the usual tourist junk. I did buy a t-shirt with a design that is black and white in the shade but turns full color in the sun
