We enjoyed the island tour. However, it might have been better to go to less places and get to stay a little longer at sites visited. It is a very pretty island and the tour was intersting. We enjoyed this very much.
The tour was ok. Our tour guide had little excitement for her job. She repeated information as if it was a script that she was reading from. She was a little on the nasty side getting angry at us when we were about 2 minutes late coming down from a high hill she recommended we climb. The sub trip was interesting but the ship had no air and it was quite hot. For anyone even remotely prone to motion sickness, it was hard to stay focused on the tour.
The tour was mostly on foot and was interesting but we were constantly hounded by folks begging us to buy something. The tour ended in a long stop at a shopping center that was over priced and tourist trappy. We left the tour and went to a shop down the street to do our shopping.
This was the best excursion we took. The guide was very entertaining and the visit to the Panama canal - altough crouded and way too short for my taste, was very interesting. Due to the 1.5 hour late start of the tour, we were running late but the guide made no attempt to cut our experience short and get us back. Of course the ship waited on us and other tours that got started late that day. However, the late start resulted in early dinner seatings being missed upon our return.
The tour of the Rose Hall and the Montego Bay were very interesting and the tour guide very nice. However, the windows of the van did not open and you could not take photos very well through the windows. The last part of this tour ended in a tourst trap / shopping center. This is where the one shop tried to con me out of $50 for a small silver charm.
