There are some wonderful experiences in Bora Bora from seeing the island part, to snorkeling, to visiting a lagoonarium but as we had been here before we chose to go ashore to stay in an overwater bungalow and snorkel right off our own private deck. This was possible as our cruise anchored overnight and tendered us to the dock at Vataipe. Our chosen hotel, the Hilton, had a shuttle boat out to their private location with crystal clear water, a white sand beach, a spa, an infinity pool, dining, and water equipment as well as their own private motu. However, I would not suggest our winter months as this is the rainiest, hottest, and most humid time of year. June through September would be the best time of year to visit this part of the South Pacific.
