Not the Paris of the Americas you hear about. The city's in rough shape, you really need to watch where you walk. there are major holes in the pavement. Restaurants are very pricey for good food.
We visited the falls and the Orsono Volcano. We joined a group that need 2 more people. It was $60 each for the day, and an extra $18 per person to take the ski lift up the volcano. So worth it!!
We took Princess transportation 2 hours by bus to Santiago. Princess's pre and post hotels with transfers are a great bargain. Again, be aware, we were in a very nice neighborhood and a young lady was mugged across the street from us. it happens really fast.
