Well worth the money for this 1 1/2 hour excursion. The photos cost us $89 for a CD package and that was the cheapest you could buy. We paid more for our photos than we did for the excursion!!! The excursion was great but I wish we had arranged something better for photos.
We had never been to Belize City before so we had a much different expectation for what the area would look like. The downtown area seemed really rundown and dirty. There were buses and cars cramming the streets and the pier shopping area seemed to be packed with cheap trinkets and aggressive vendors. There didn't seem to be any sort of resort feel or tropical look to the area other than the people and the weather. It looked pretty grungy for a pier stop.
The view from the boat of Roatan was just breathtaking. It was exactly what you would expect when you pull up to a tropical Caribbean port. The hillside was covered in lush, green foliage peppered with gorgeous bright tropical flowers and lovely hillside homes. The streets were clean and the people were warm and friendly.
We signed up for this excursion but due to the choppy ocean and windy weather, we were forced to cancel. The staff member was not particularly helpful throughout this process. We were set to do the excursion at 8:30 a.m. and she had us come back twice to check in to see if we could do the event. It was a pain.
