We loved where the Wonder was docked in San Francisco. It was the showcase of the port. We headed down to Pier 39 and then back over to board the Alcatraz tour on the first port day. We really enjoyed the tour, having never been to the island. Afterward we headed over to Ghirardelli Square for some ice cream and then continued down Fisherman's Warf. Our daughter lives about an hour away so we had agreed to meet for dinner. We found a very nice seafood restaurant called Scoma's. Truely amazing dining experience. The food was probably the best we had eaten in a long time. Expensive but very worth it. We got a ride back to the ship after heading to Denny's for Coffee.
The next morning we boarded a bus to the Walt Disney Family Museum where we toured the facility. We were really impressed with the extent of the material and the way the museum was laid out. It was really a first class operation. We also headed over the Lucasfilm HQ and took a couple pictures at the Yoda fountain. Following the museum trip, we headed out and about San Francisco on board the tour bus. Our guide was a MiceChat member who was also a curator at the Museum. He laid out the route and pointed out Disney history as well as San Fran history. It was a very nice tour and we were back in time to take in the Disney Dreams show.
