Labadee was a nice relaxing day. Just be careful of walking through the Straw Market - everyone has something to sell you that they made "just for you". Also, make sure to negotiate, the prices will drop.
The name of the excursion was "Carusoe Island Experience" - This entailed taking a taxi to other side of the island, getting in a small boat and heading out to Prickly Pear Island. There we meet Miguel who had run the beach on the island for a long time. This was a very nice, restful time. In addition, Miguel's wife made a fabulous lunch.
We walked around the market right by the ships. This was a wonderful little market with all hand made products. Bonaire is NOT for the shopper of name brand items, but for those who enjoy the unique items.
For the excursion, we took the Samur junk to Klien Bonaire which was a wonderful trip. Capt. Chris told of the rich history of the junk. Snorkeling at the island was the best we saw. Just a few hundred yards from where the main group was dropped, the reef opened up and had easy access to amazing colors and variety of fish.
