This was a cooking class at the beach that was my wife's idea but I have to say I enjoyed it very much. We've been to Cozumel often and wanted to do something different. We cooked Grouper and it was great. We had about 2 hours at the beach afterwords. I recommend this tour.
We just took a $2 taxi to the beach and had one of the best beach days ever. Free beach chairs and umbrella and they wait on you for all drinks and food.
The lunch was great that we ordered (fresh grilled fish) and they set a table up for us right on the beach. Very reasonable prices.
Very interesting and fun. To get there we went in dug out canoes across the lake and to a waterfall that was beautiful and refreshing, then stopped at the village where they fed us fish they had caught and grilled, very good. Gave us some history and did some dancing for us.
Gatun Locks Rating:
A must see! It only took about 30 minutes to see how things work and we got to see some huge ships go through, very interesting.
Toured the fort but would have liked to have seen more of it, very good. The old cathedral was interesting and all of the other areas that we saw were good but so crowded that the experience was not what it could have been. They took us to some shopping areas but was very limited and way too crowded. Mostly disappointed in Cartagena, very hot and very crowded.
The best tour of our trip, we always love to sail and this one was very good. We snorkeled and swam with the Stingrays. They gave us pizza and we had a great sail back to port. Of course it helped that we only had 8 people (they could have had up to 23). We always try to sail at least one stop on every cruise and this one was one of our favorites.
Stingray Swim Rating:
We were a little hesitant about this tour but highly recommend it.
