The Lamarai ruins were wonderful! To get there you have a scenic boat ride of over an hour which gave an opportunity to see much wildlife. There was a very impressive temple that the adventurous could climb. Our Mayan guide, Gilbert, was very knowledgeable.
Our Mayan guide, Luis, was great. The ruins featured the best preserved Mayan masks of all the ruins. I was able to climb several of these as they are lower than Lamarai.
