Although we have been to San Juan in the past, it is unfortunate that MSC choose to be at port on New Years Day. The city was basically closed for the holiday. Not a good choice of a day to dock.
We stayed on the ship as we were docked in a commercial port - cost of a taxi for 3 to the beach was going to be over $40. We later found out that there was a cost of $10 per person to access the beach. Glad I stayed at the ship.
