Excellent however boat is right next to ship. No need to book through Cruise Line just turn up. Ship Tower and we would recommend the walk and the activities.
Don't spend the money on the Pick up and drop off (approx NZ $49) There are buses on the shore that for NZ $10 will return you to the ship. Not far to walk if inclined.
Ship sailed into Akaroa and tendered to shore. The tender is nothing to worry about. This to me was the most beautiful port and the view coming into Akoroa is spectacular.
International Antarctic Center Rating:
The International Antartic Centre & Winery was interesting. Probably more suitable for families rather us.
What a beautiful port. Welcomed and farewelled by the people of Napier who dress up and have their beautiful vintage cars on the dock. Everybody enjoyed the farewell. We went on the Winery Tour and visited two wineries. Very nice wines and could not believe how cheap New Zealand Wines are priced. The bus tour operator loved Napier and this was reflected in her commentary and the areas of Napier that she showed us.
