It was a very cold windy day so we did not go ashore. We did not opt for the trip to Paris as we had been a few times before, the people who did go on the trip to Paris enjoyed it
There is much to see in Lisbon with many squares to sit in and people watch. A good way to see the city is on the hop on hop off bus. There is also a tram which takes you up the cobbled streets to the higher town. We were warned about pick pockets but did not see anything suspicious.
We docked facing the Naval dockyard which was a very attractive area. A short walk away was the ferry to Hamilton although it was raining there was plenty of inside seating on the ferry. Hamilton is an expensive town but interesting to walk around. There was also a bus that went around the Island.
Fort Lauderdale is a great place to stay. The beach is lovely and it has a new promenade which is very easy walking. The restaurants are good loved Bubba Gump but huge portions sometimes a starter is enough. There is a good cheap bus which serves the area also a trolley service at 50cents a time. The water taxi is excellent value, wouldn't recommend the Jungle queen, the Swimming Hall of Fame is very interesting. Would love to go back and spend some more time there.
