Ship did not dock until after 4 p.m. and left at 10 p.m. It was dark and not worth getting off the ship. We did hear from a few couples that they did sign up for the Celebrity night bus excursion. Supposed to see the beautiful lights on San Juan but they found the bus windows were painted over so they could see almost nothing.
Been there many times before. Best shopping in the Caribbean and by far the best prices for liquor. You can haggle on prices and many of the stores will deliver your order directly to the ship so you do not have to carry your purchase around. An example, the Celebrity Reflection price on board for a bottle of 15 year old Glenfiddich single malt scotch was $50. At several stores in St. Maarten you could buy it for $38 a bottle if you also purchased one or more other types of liquor.
St. Kitts is a nice island and seems to be trying to better its population and the island itself. Nice people that seem genuinely glad that you are there and spending your money.
