Nassau
Port Rating:
In Nassau, we took a Carriage Ride that we negotiated on the Pier. It was a nice little tour that took you around Nassau and pointed out the highlights. Both our Drivers were great, we paid $15 per person for this tour. We then walked thru the Straw Market, then our kids ate at Senor Frogs, while we ate at the Conch Fritter Bar & Grill Restaurant. We both enjoyed our meals. I also found a Dunkin Donuts that had free wireless internet, plus I got a Destination Mug and a great cup of coffee!

We took a taxi into town as our ship was diverted to Crown Bay, and did not dock at Havensight. We went to the Magic Ice Exhibit, it was a lot of fun and something really different. We then shopped around the stores, we went and bought some rum at The Rum Factory at Blackbeards Castle, and we ate lunch at the Green House Restaurant, it was really good!

We took an independent tour thru Bernard's Tours, and this was the highlight of our entire cruise. We had several stops, and had a great tour guide (Sexy) (that was his name, so he said!) We got to visit an iguana farm, a beach to hold sea urchins, starfish & conch, Orient Beach, Maho Beach, Marigot (where we ate lunch at Serafina - don't miss this great french bakery!). We also visited the Guavaberry Emporium in Phillipsburg, for free samples of the Guavaberry Rum & Liquor, as well as the irresistable Guavaberry Colada-Yum!
