We booked the Isla de Passion by power catamaran through Carnival. The water was really choppy that day and we were told when we arrived at the pier that we could cancel our tour and get our money back. Next time I've given that option, I will take it, but we decided to go ahead anyway. They were upfront with us that we couldn't get into the water past our knees and that the water toys, kayaks, etc. were not available for use.
The boat ride to the island took twice as long as normal and it took the crew quite a long time to get the boat tied up to the pier once we arrived. The drinks on the island were good and we ate guacamole, pico de gallo and the chicken off of the buffet. The staff was accommodating and tried to take care of us the best they could given the poor weather conditions.
It was a nice, white sandy beach with plenty of lounge chairs and tables.
