We loved just relaxing and doing nothing at Labadee. We were in a suite so we had access to Barefoot Beach. We floated in the water all day. If we go again we most likely won't go in a suite, so we'll be sure to reserve a cabana.
It is everything that you've read. We walked outside the gates knowing what to expect. We recommend booking an excursion if you want to see Jamaica. It's still up and coming, but it's still hard to have all those people wanting you to look, buy their stuff or take their tour.
We booked a tour through Moby Dick Tours. We had a great time. The guys are great, stingrays are awesome. The recommended Rackum's for lunch, that was great as well
