Had a private tour with Juneau Limo. This was our third time in Juneau but we still found it a fascinating city. Mendenhall Glacier was a real treat as the day was drop-dead beautiful and there were bears roaming around.
Had a private tour with Dyea Dave and LOVED it. Went up to the Yukon and marveled at the gorgeous scenery. The day gave us rain, sun, more sun and then snow! I always love visiting Skagway.
Ketchikan is such a jewel of a town. Although, it is a little disheartening to see how the cruise lines have built up the port into their own little city and have quite effectively shut out the local merchants. We by-passed the ship's shops and headed right for Creek Street where we enjoyed talking to the proprietors and shopping for "real" Alaska gifts.
I gave Victoria a good rating for the quaintness of the town but I have to give our visit a low rating. Love the city, hate the fact that we only had a few hours to spend. You get there so late at night (7:00 pm) that there's nothing to do but visit a few shops and hit the bars.
