We were docked at the Grain Terminal (commercial wharf) about 40 minutes by shuttle from Brisbane CBD. All very well organised but the buses were not wheelchair friendly except for the ocasional one and a taxi into town was $70 one way. There were no accessible ships tours. We took a taxi to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Not cheap. On earlier visits we have docked at Portside - the cruise terminal and enjoyed the river cat ferry trip and Southside.
The Oosterdam will not fit at the Cruise Terminal so we docked at the commercial wharf. An excellent free shuttle service was laid on but was non accessible for anyone in a wheelchair or on a scooter. We did the Tchou Tchou train ship's excursion, which was good mainly because we were picked up from the side of the ship, had never done it before and the local staff were very helpful. Noumea is a place we enjoy but will probably not cruise to again unless we book a ship that will dock at the cruise terminal.
