Great Port... Lots of shops,, and the cruise line has a private island area with a beach and activities for those who wish to stay there for the day/ The beach are could be bigger . But its a nice spot.
Did not go into this port. We took a catamaran from the ship. The tender was a bit long to go ashore , and most we talked to said it was not safe to go outside the port area alone into the city.
Love Cozumel. Safest, easiest docking. Only downside, the cruise terminal has a narrow set of shops directly off the ship , and you must go through it. It is narrow and very full of people. It would be nice to not be herded like cattle through the ships shops. Once outside the cruise port is very nice. Cozumel is easy to navigate and has tons to do. No excursion needed. Find a dive bar, and snorkel from the beach.. Love it!!
