I know Nassau well as I have stayed there many times starting in 1986. There are fun things to do in Nassau. The problem is that on many days of the week, such as our Friday, there were 5 ships in Port including the massive Disney Dream and the even bigger, 4,100 passenger NCL Epic, so the downtown area was extremely crowded, the traffic was horrible and the wait in the line to get back through the ID check in the port terminal was 45 minutes long. Prior to coming back into town to return to the ship, we did have a great time revisiting a resort we stayed at back in 1996 (Compass Point) which was still great.
Quick and easy no-traffic access to a great beach and resort hotel area. If you like a great beach resort, don't skip this one, get on the shuttle and get to the beach at Lucaya.
