Always impressed with the island and looks to be building more cabanas. We recommend getting a clam shell for sun protection. The island buffet is nothing great and would recommend going back to the ship for a made to order meal. The water and the beach is superlative and clean. The service is slow by the waitstaff and locals who work the beach rental areas are downright expressionless and unwilling to help.
The beauty of the island is spoiled by the constant barrage of hawkers trying to sell you something. The extra security personnel located through out help but not worth the effort to step off and see anything other than Dunn's River Falls. Lots of potential here but the atmosphere is ripe with bad attempts to sell you anything. We bought some Blue Mountain coffee and wanted to stay for lunch and sample authentic jerk chicken but felt the hassle wasn't worth it.
An artificial port created for cruise passengers like Grand Turk. To really see the island hop in a cab and head to West End. Find a beach bar and kick back a few Carte Salve to soak in the experience.
