The island is so economically depressed,65% unemployment, dirty, littered highways,the Iguana farm smelled of manure, 2 monkeys were kept in seperate dirty, wire cages. Not a nice attraction. Los Palmas felt like a tourist trap, small shops, restrooms were clean. Beach area was good for photos.

Museum Tour Rating: 1.0 out of 5+
Mel Fisher Museum, was pretty empty as far as displays, I was there 15 years ago and there were at least twice as many exhibits. Told by the cashier, the exhibits had been removed by the investors. Disappointing.

decent shopping,good hagglers. Shopping at the "metal" jewelry stores was ridiculous, junk and costume passed off as "real". Do not eat at Carlos y Charlies, tourist food at gourmet prices, no restroom in or next to the bar.

nice beach area.
