The Island of Bora Bora is not worth seeing. Very hot and humid with wood seats and no air conditioned buses. If this is your first time here form your own opinion. Take a private taxi. It will cost about the same. The taxis are not air conditioned but you will be more comfortable as you will be in a padded seat and can keep the window open.
Moorea is absolutely lovely a must see. The buses were air conditioned with padded seats, in other words a normal bus. This is the vacation island for Tahiti.
The City of Papayette where the airport is, is an old dirty city. Again it is not worth seeing but form your own opinion. Instead take the ferry across to Moorea, which is 12 miles off the main Island.
