We arrived at Nassau following hurricane Sandy's visit, a week or so earlier, so there was still some clearing up taking place. With only a half day in port we took an independent one hour guided mini-bus tour, which gave us a quick overview of the island and its history. With two young children in tow this was more than enough, they just wanted to get back to the ship to go in the pool and in the heat we were pleased to comply.
In St. Thomas we just went ashore to shop. Diamonds International recommended a local jeweller who could replace the missing diamond in my husband's wedding ring. He did an excellent job for just $50, while we waited. Excellent service. Did some gift shopping but not much else.
In St. Maarten took the ship's Island Tour excursion. Great guide, very informative & interesting tour, with some time for shopping or just a relaxing beverage. 2.5 to 3 hours in total Good value for money
