Shuttle was easy to find and very convenient way to get to Cocoa Beach...Was only $12 pp. There is a shopping area, beach and other low key places to visit there...plus the return shuttle comes every 15-30 minutes!
We were not able to call on gsc, the private island due to storm damage, but Nassau was open, even though they had some damage. We chose not to do any of the ship excursions, but to explore on our own. We did end up taking a 2 hour private taxi company tour with another small group...for much less than the ship excursion price. Our driver/tour guide was fantastic and calm even when our vehicle started acting up! WE saw much of the island, even the queens staircase, fort fincastle and Paradise island/Atlantis. Lots of photo ops and souvenir stops. Well worth what we paid! After our tour we walked the beach a bit then spent time shopping and browsing the town. Amazing place!
