Went on the Norfolk highlight tour for 3 hours. It was wonderful, it included the base and we were given a tour guide for the base and we actually got to experience the USS Enterprise returning from their 1 year excursion at war. It was wonderful seeing all the service personnel and their families leaving and laughing and crying. Very emotional time for all.
Welcome to Washington, Dc tour. Got to see all the buildings you see on tv and actually touch some of them. The white house is alot smaller in person. Did not like being dropped off at Union Square for lunch. We are handicapped and ride a scooter and we had to take 3 different elevators to get to the food court. We wasted 25 of our 40 minutes just getting to the right floor then had to cram our food in and run back to make it to the bus on time.
Was not worth $149.00. Went to the historic home and saw the gardens but then had chicken salad sandwiches which tasted good but spent more time in the bus than at the venue. Would not recommend it again for the price. They should cut the price to $89.00 and they have a snack bar there and let you pay $5.00 and buy yourself a sandwich. The sandwich we ate in the box lunch was $5.95 at the snack bar......The gardens in the winter are not worth the visit.
Got off the ship on our own. Walked to the Conch tour they held my scooter for me while we got on and took our $22.00 tour for 90 minutes. Had a great time and saw where we wanted to go for lunch and then took us back from where we started. Walked to Sloppy Joes for the best sandwich ever and then walked back to the ship and stopped in a few shops to look for stuff for gifts. Had a great time.
