Not a great port to go into. Unless you have an excursion - nothing to do.
We took the shuttle to the "shopping" which was just ONE store (tourist trap) & just fast food restaurants. Walking distance to the beach. No chairs no umbrellas. We just walked that beach for 1/2 hour then took shuttle back.
We had to tender to the island. We were given tender numbers. Thank goodness we were later number because it was so windy that they cancelled the tendering after 3 boats went. the people on the island had to come right back & they said that the ride back was way worse than the ride over & lots of them were seasick. then if was a run to get loungers on ship.
took a taxi to the public beach beside Atlantis. the beaches in nassau are beautiful. we sat on our towels for a few hours. enjoyed the sun, water & sand. had a great peaceful day on a Nassau beach.
