Olympia we had seen before, so we spent the day at the Greek seaside village of the port Katokolon. We had a delicious meal at a taverna & bought some inexpensive jewellery nearby.
Another "must see" in Istanbul. An imposing building internally & externally.
Bosphorus Cruise Rating:
So glad we booked this cruise as with a smaller boat we got up close to waterfront mansions,palaces,resorts & nightclubs.
Grand Bazaar Rating:
This was part of our deal of sights in Istanbul but we ran out of time & only had 20 minutes in the bazaar.However we felt it was more important to see Hagia Sofia,Blue Mosque & Topkapi palace.
Hagia Sofia Rating:
Hagia Sofia was beautiful. The bus took us on a short city tour first.Tour guide was very good.We walked from Hagia Sofia to the Blue Mosque.
Topkapi Walking Tour Rating:
Topkapi Palace itself was good but the diamonds & jewellery were amazing.
Santorini we took the cable car to the top, walked around with our friends bought some lovely Greek jewellery & had lunch at a cliffside taverna overlooking our ship.
