Ketchikan is a nice little town to walk around. The ship wasn't here for very long and it was raining, but we enjoyed walking up to the Totem Heritage Center. We also did some shopping here.
Spectacular! The trip was well run and we saw plenty of whales and other wildlife. A photographers dream trip.
We also took the local bus up to Mendenhall Glacier. The bus driver was a bit surly (last day of the season), but we got to see a bear and cubs up close on personal while there.
I would highly recommend this excursion. It consisted of a two mile hike and a float trip that would have made me happy if it had gone on forever. The guide was great!
