We chose to have a relaxing day of just walking around the port and shopping.
We had never been to Key West so wanted to check it out. If I went back I would check out the Hemingway Museum that was right there by the port. We loved all the statues and others who went there said it was interesting.
We wanted just a beach day. Since we live in Colorado and never get to go to the beach we chose the Ramada. For $5 each we got a taxi there. It was $10 for access to their beach and pools which included a chair. The beach wasn't the best I had been to but for the mountain girls it was adequate and their facilities were quite nice with sun and shade. We spent several hours there then went across the street to the straw market shopping.
Here we also wanted a beach day. We chose the Sheridan for this one. Had emailed them and was told $25pp when we arrived after took the local bus there for $1.20
they told us that the rate had gone up to $30. It was totally worth it, the beach was beautiful with white sand and the pool areas were very nice and even included a towel and any non motorized sports that they had available. On the way back to the ship we did some shopping.
