We walked out from the ship and turned left. We took the trolley tour for $21.00 each and it was about 2 1/2 hrs. It was well worth the money and we really enjoyed it. Later we walked around, shopped, and ate lobster rolls in a bar near the port. We had planned to take an afternoon mail cruise, but it was too foggy. However, we greatly enjoyed our day.
We booked independently with Bill Fleming. It was just my husband and I along with Bill and his wife. It was great. Acadia National Park is beautiful. The tour was about 2 1/2 hrs. The town was absolutely beautiful. In easy walking distance are two parks, shopping, dining, tours, and numerous activites. We ate at Dog and Pony Bar (across from city park). It was really good, lobster roll& clam chowder for $13.99. This town was just great.
St.John was a nice town. We took the trolley tour with the ship. It was $36.00pp. The Bay of Fundy and City Market was disappointing. Really this was our least favorite port. Not really much to see or do. We ate lunch at the City Market.
This is a great port. Turn right from the ship and it's a short walk to the Harbour Walk. Beautiful city to walk around in and just visit. Last visit we had seen the Titantic museum and took a whale watch excursion. This time, we walked down the harbour walk, took the local ferry across the harbour and visited Dartmouth. After that we walked (up the hill 3 blocks) up to The Citadel. It was a great view of the city!! We then walked down and ate at the Blue???Nose local restaurant( It was on Duke Street). We ate the best scallops, shrimp, and cod we had on the whole trip. It was really good. Also, last time we ate at a small stand on the Harbour Walk and it was really good too. We then visited several shops and just enjoyed our walk back to the ship. It is a clean, easy city to negotiate and many activities to enjoy right on the harbour.
