The hotel was beautiful, included a great breakfast, and in a great location.

The biggest benefit with this package was the transfer to the port which was

a few hours away.

We took a private tour on the first day and a ship excursion on the second day.

Our private tour included a long boat ride on the river, visits to the fruit, vegetable, and flower markets,

many unbelievable temples, a special night show "Siam Narit", and shopping for local crafts and items.

We toured the Reclining Buddha Temple and The Wat Phra Kaeo Temple.

The temples were fascinating but the long boat tour really showed the poverty of Bangkok with the shacks along the water and mothers washing their children in the very dirty and polluted river.

We were gone from 8:00 AM until 11:30 PM and it was a wonderful day!

On the second day in Bangkok we took a ship's tour to Nong Nooch Village. We opted to tour the gardens instead of show because of the show we saw the night before in Bangkok.

The gardens were beautiful and the tram's guide spoke perfect English.

City Tour Rating:

We booked a private tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. An amazing amount of motorbikes were everywhere!! We also saw a lot of poverty and very dangerous electrical wires.

A temple, Reunification Hall, Notre Dame, the Post Office, and other general sites were the areas we visited.

Also included was a great lunch at the Rex Hotel and time for shopping for local crafts.

Singapore is a wonderful city!

We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental and thought it was a perfect location!!!!

It was within walking distance of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, the Singapore Flyer,

Marina Bay Gardens, and the huge casino within the shopping mall.
