I suppose I could give Labadee more points but we've been there before and its basically the same. Yes its nice not to have to tender in, yes they have expanded the place considerably but other than a very nice place to swim and relax...what do you do IF: your afraid of the zip line and/or the para-sailing, are not interested in paying the fee for the jet skis? Sit on the beach, swim and read a book.....rather stay on the ship. Which is what we did, got off quickly in the morning, set up a couple of chairs, swam and "people watched" for awhile, then headed back by noon for lunch. Coco Cay is nicer.
Jamaica: two words - DON'T GO !! Although the excursions we had were very nice and entertaining (Dunn's River Falls and the Green Grotto Caves), getting attacked by very aggressive sellers of crap is NOT my idea of fun! So if you go, stay on the excurtion and don't wander, watch your money and be prepared to SHOUT out NO...alot!!
Had a GREAT time snorkeling over the USS Kittywake and the next dive site. Lots of interesting coral and fish and the trip was just long enough to be worth the money but not too long that we could not visit the town. By all means vist the town...very clean, NO aggresive store owners trying to get you to buy and a very beautiful place!
Go do the Dolphin's..either swim or encounter, you will LOVE it! The encounter is NOT a swim, you stand on a platform in the water and the dolphin swims and performs for you, you can touch it but you don't swim with it! All the same it was great! The sea lion show is short but also nice and by all means go through the "jungle" next to the building, its a lenghty walk and has many nice spots for photo's.
