We didn't do much here. Took the double decker bus tour for $5 per person. Definitely worth it. We shopped in the market area. Lots and lots of people trying to sell but that is what they do - can't blame them for trying.
We were not looking for a beach day but it would have been perfect right there, looking at the ship. Not pretty white sand but very nice for looking for shells - lots there.
We had a calm day here, easy to get around, very safe, quaint. I would like to go back and spend more time just hanging out, no excursion necessary.
We docked at Puerta Maya and prefer the other dock near Senor Frog's. We had nothing planned, just walked around, sat by the water, shopped at the shops by the pier. We felt very safe. The locals were very kind and helpful when asking for directions or information.
If I were to return to this dock, I would rent a horse tour of the island. That looked fun.
