We just walked to a small fort and saw the Queen's steps. Walked around the town. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised at the little we saw. It was a bit of Bermuda with some other Island flare thrown in.
I have taken the Champagne sail to St. John's a couple of times before and really enjoy that excursion. Watch out for those rum punches on the way back, they flow like crazy and catch up to you quickly.
This time didn't do much but check out the shops and then enjoy the ship with many off on their excursions.
Have been here a number of times .... once again took the 3-hour circle of Island from the taxi stand. Joined six others so it was only $25 per person. It takes you to the main points, although very limited time at each.
If you can get to SunSet beach near the airport when one of the big planes land, that can be quite a great experience.
