The same tour guide was with us for all the places we went in Istanbul and she was really great. She was very informative all day long and our lunch was exceptional. We want to return to Istanbul for several more days - it is a great, clean, and extremely interesting city.
Beautiful location for a city and very interesting to walk around. The main area of the old city can quickly become overwhelmed with tourists. The main streets are quite crowded but the main historical features of the old city is worth the time.
We have been in Venice several times but had never traveled to to see the main glass blowing factories. The glass item stores in the area were very interesting, but we never got to see glass products being made - the late transportation from our ship got us there at lunch time and nothing was going on.
The main church on the island is not mentioned in most travel guides but is very interesting. Look for the whale bones.
