Quebec City is a beautiful city and worth the trip. This is by far my favorite excursion of the whole trip. Our tour guide was friendly and was entertaining in us telling the stories of murder and mayhem. She took us through various streets and pointed out numerous areas that are said to be haunted. Easy walking about two miles. City is breathtaking at night.
Montmorency Falls Bicycle Tour Rating:
We boarded a shuttle bus who took us to the bicycle shop and they outfitted us with bikes and helmets. It was a little chilly and they had gloves that we could use as well. The tour description said it was an easy 9 mile ride. We found that this is a little misleading it is actually 9 miles ONE WAY. The wind was in our faces on the way to the falls and there was times it was extremely difficult to pedal. Once we arrived at the falls we took a gondola to the top of the falls. We were given a little time to walk around. The falls were beautiful.
The ride home was easier since the wind was on our backs. Once we got back to the shop and were given an apple and water. We found that there was no bus to take us back to the ship and so our guide walked us back to the ship which was about a one mile walk.
We chose the Peggys cove hop on, hop off. We boarded the bus for the trip to Peggy's cove. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable of the city. Once we arrived at the cove we found that there was at least seven buses there so it was extremely busy. We had to wait to get into the gift shop. We were given about 45 minutes to wander the town. With so many people, we wish there was a little more time to wander and check out the little shops around the cove.
The hop on, hop off was afforded to us but since we were so hungry we did not utilize it and chose to go get some lobster instead.
