In Portland, our group bought a city pass to ride their buses for $15. Took it to Observatory, which was similar to a lighthouse. Construction was amazing. Ate Lobster roll and fries at Duckfat. Duckfat cooks homemade Maine fries in grease with Duckfat. Tasty. Lots of shopping in Old downtown Portland which is right off the pier.
Group purchased a van tour for $45/hr for 5 hours. We lucked out. Garry of Van Tours of Nova Scotia was a history buff and loved telling stories about his country. Went to Peggy's Cove which was very foggy but nice. Also went to other coves, Maple Shack, Titanic graveyard, and Citadel. His stories made the trip the best. Ate lunch at Fisherman's corner, Yummy. Outside tables for fish and chips, lobster roll, and scallops.
