Catalina Island
Port Rating:
my only concern, is that should have been a longer port of call. what a great place, most sites, were withing walking distance. We did not purchase any excursions, but still would have like to spend more time there. (our first time there). The tendering process was organized, and they used a combination of their own tenders, and contracted ones from shore, it was great, unhurried, and enjoyable.

Puerto Vallarta
Port Rating:
it was hot and humid, even the locals were uncomfortable. the Star Princess pulled up to a very clean, and easy to understand dock space. We had a private excursion planned by our fellow travelers; it was a great day. The shopping or should I say the "selling" was very agressive, as we had heard (along the river) ... 'nuff said.

again, very hot and humid. we ventured out in the early evening, again on contracted tenders, it was very easy, no fuss, no muss. not a lot happening on the dock after hours.

San Diego
Port Rating:
we really enjoyed San Diego, firt the weather was perfect, we took a local harbor tour, and enjoyed it thoroghly, again, I would have like to spend more time, the USS Midway museum got rave reviews from other travelers (it was literally in the next berth) but just ran out of time.
