The railroad excursion was excellent. We were lucky to have the steam train. The views were very beautiful and although we had a little period of rain, it did not hurt. We received a beautiful metal for going up the rail and are part of the White Pass and Yukon rail club. The toast at the top of the mountain was very nice. Train ride was very smooth
Picked up at ship by costumed prospector. Given a short tour of Juneau and then to the river for panning. Beautiful site with cold glacial water. The first pan was seeded and everyone received gold. After that it was dig for your own. Although this was a short time to pan, about an hour, is why i rated this lower than a 5. The scenery was very beautiful while looking around.
The excursion of the trip. Where else can u be 35 feet above the forest floor and see bears eating salmon in the creek. They were very safety oriented and made everyone feel good. The guides were happy and joking around. Numerous lines from all different distances. Picture at the end and a medtal saying you survived the zip line. A must do.
