We arrived here at midday the day before we got on the cruise. Wish we had known how fabulous it was as we would have liked at least another day here. We stayed on La Ramblas as recommended by our travel agent who lived and worked in Barcelona for a few years. Excellent choice. We went on the hop on and off bus - blue line as recommended-excellent, just wish we had time to get off and have a look at La grada familia and the guell park. Did the red line the next day, much the same. On the cruise heard of around 5 different people who had problems with pickpockets, so be super vigilant !
Saw lots but way too long on our feet in the heat without a break. I suggesst factoring in a morning tea break as we didnt have lunch until 1 and i was nearly collapsing by then. The tour guide knew her stuff but i am sure the majority of people would rather have had a shortened version and had some time to shop
Nice little tour after the two previous days of very big ones. Had lunch which was a bit of a mistake as we had very little time to shop or look around after that
Excellent tour, lots of greenery. Had a lovely lunch at 12 including wine. The underground cistern was amazing, thoroughly recommend going there. The Grand Bazaar was very big. Carpet demo was good although the carpets were very expensive. I felt sorry for the carpet demo people the next day in Kusadasi as i didnt know we were seeing that again and made a quick exit.
Lovely place, seeing the library was an oh my god moment. Cruise line needs to say there is a carpet making demo as we had seen one the day before and didnt want to waste the little time we had here watching another one. Tour guide at Istanbul said the shopping was better in Kusadasi and it was a little more relaxed being a smaller place
