Stockholm
Port Rating:
Stockholm was a clean, pleasant city, but I can't say that it was a really memorable one. Not worth going on an organised excursion. Just get the shuttle bus into town.... only a couple of minutes away.

Tallinn
Port Rating:
Tallin was an interesting place to visit, but it was very close to the dock, so not worth going on the excursion. Cheaper to get a guide book!

St. Petersburg
City Tour Rating:
Very interesting place to visit, with lots to see. Of course, the historical sights were impressive and don't forget to see the cruiser 'Aurora'.
Impressions were of major traffic jams over the river bridges, hundreds of Range Rovers, Mercedes 4X4s, Lexuses and so on, while most of the people apparently live in tenements blocks and share bathrooms with other families. By the way, don't get yourself stuck in the underground train doors. They trap you and don't let go!
Hermitage Museum Rating:
Not really a museum. More an art gallery. Has room after room of fabulously valuable paintings, by all the famous artists. You get up close to them too. Well worth seeing.
Peterhof Palace Rating:
Fascinating. How the other half used to live.

Copenhagen
Port Rating:
Worth visiting, just to say you've been there. It's a nice clean place, pleasant enough, but I can't say we'll be going back. If you dock at Kalundborg, you've got a 90 minute bus trip each way, to get to Copenhagen. Why don't they dock at Copenhagen itself?
