It was raining but that did not deter us from enjoying the tours. Did The Best of Halifax Tour - Minicoach. Our tour guide was great and knowledgable Awesome views and much better than doing the motorcoach. Went to Peggys Cove,
got out of the minicoach and went straight into restaurant and ordered a
wonderful lobster. Waitress was awesome and had the lobster on the table right away. This gave me plenty of time to take some dynamite photos of the cove. Since it was raining, my photos were more interesting than photos that I have seen of the cove on sunny days. Titanic burial grounds were interesting. Nothing negative to say about this tour. The gardens were beautiful, even in the rain.
In the evening we went on An Evening at the Sugar Shack tour (highly recommend this tour). It included a family style meal which the meat pie was exquisite. The local drink "caribou" was interesting and I actually liked it. There was a dad and son Gaelic musicians playing local music. We were taught some steps to their music and we also learned how to play the spoons. After we went and did a small tour of how they make maple syrup. Our driver and our guides were awesome.
City Tour Rating:
Upon arrival we went on Historic and Modern Quebec tour. It was a
quick ride around the city which gave us a quick overview and familiarization.
We were able to get off at the Chateau Frontenac and walk around for about half hour. The following day we did a Grand Exploration Of Quebec excursion and visited the world-renowned shrine of Ste-anne-de-beaupre & Montmorency Falls. Many kudos to our tour guide Johanna who was with us for two of the tours.
