Great port and amazing city. The city has steep hills but cabs are easy to catch and all take credit card and US currency. If possible, when staying overnight try to stay on a Friday or Saturday night as the city tends to shut down about 10:00pm on weekdays. A cab tour is also a great way to visit the falls and understand the city, highlights, and where you want to go back to visit when the tour is over.
Rented a car from agency at the port. Easy to pick up and bring your GPS if you have one. Traveled around to visit Lunenburg - great place to visit and photos do not do it justice. We had cool weather and lots of rain but still enjoyed the city. Also visited the Titanic cemetery. Did not have much time to walk around or visit the city. The port was very crowded with over 8,000 visitors and the shops at the port were crazy busy.
